Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom.  Who raised three great (and good looking if I do say so myself) kids.
And to my Mother-In-Law who raised an equally ragtag wonderful family.
And to my children, I just want to say that you are wonderful adults and I am proud of you every day - but still find it hard to believe you're all grown up .  I still think of you as 'kids'.
I Love You All!
And to all the other Moms out there- Happy Mother's Day!!
Next year we get to add Jenn to the list of Moms!!

Holey Sinkhole!

Whether you're a Corvette fan or not, this is heartbreaking

We went to the Corvette Museum a few years ago with Andy & Jenn.  I remember that room - there were lots of cars and lots of people, so it was hard to get pictures.

This is a a picture from last week.  See that sign and the red barrier?

Here's Jim standing in front of it.

There are 8 cars in the sinkhole.  They say it's about 40 feet wide by 30 feet deep.  Some of the cars are so deep into it that they can't be seen.  Sinkholes are pretty common in the area, so everyone seems to be taking it well.

Here are some of the other cars that were in that room when we were there.

I guess the good news in all of this is that it occurred when no-one was inside the museum.  Imagine the tragedy if the room had been full of people.  They were nice cars - but they were just cars.

Oh those crazy kids

Google likes to add all sorts of animations to the pictures I have stored on their site.   Some are good - some not so good.  This one I like.  This was taken last year (2012) at Thanksgiving.  The 'kids' were clearly having good time.

On the couch - from left to right - Kris, Brad, Tim, Josh, Andy.
On the floor - Reilly, Lianna, Logan, Justice, Laura

Happy Birthday Andy

Wow - another birthday.  It seems like just yesterday I was holding this sweet little boy for the first time
and then before you know it, he's a big brother
And going to school
and little league
and boy scouts
and girlfriends
and high school
and then he's a happy, healthy, successful adult with a beautiful wife.
Where do the years go?
I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that I couldn't have asked for a better son.
Happy Birthday!!

I'm Living the Dream!

I haven't celebrated many milestones, but this is a good one. One year ago today, I had my last chemo session. Since then, I've been able to:

Watch Laura graduate from college

Celebrate Andy and Jenn's wedding

Spend time with lots of family

And take another trip around the sun with my honey

Yup - Living The Dream!!
